Position Summary: The Inpatient Therapist (MA) is responsible for the delivery of clinical counseling to an identified patient population, following established treatment guidelines, agency policies and procedures. The incumbent utilizes therapy techniques to facilitate understanding and practice of coping skills; fosters and enhances communication, self-esteem, creativity, socialization and physical movement of assigned adolescent patient population and provides psycho-education to patients and families/guardians in the in-patient setting.
Minimum Requirements: Two (2) years of clinical experience working with adolescents with severe mental illness and/or behavioral disturbances, preferred Previous experience in a mental health counseling setting preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Masters Degree in a behavioral health related field required License in one of the following: Licensed Social Work Associate & Independent Clinical (LSWAIC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate LMFTA, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate LMHCA Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
