The Manager of Behavioral Health Services will work in a collaborative effort with the Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Executive Director and the Supervisor of WakeMed’s Behavioral Health Network. As the Behavioral Health Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out the goals of the Behavioral Health Department and provide exceptional quality of care to our patients and their families. You will partner closely with the department Supervisor to provide clinical and professional services to the department and its patients. As the Manager, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing the development of action plans and future-focused business goals in order to strengthen the strategic plan of the department. You will also be expected to develop key performance indicators and manage the staff and department’s performance of those indicators. This may include but is not limited to monitoring revenues and expenses for the Behavioral Health cost center, ensuring the balance of the budget, and identifying potential cost saving opportunities to meet staffing and resource needs.
As the Behavioral Health Services Manager, you will also work with the Behavioral Health Supervisor to conduct interviews and hires for behavioral health, substance abuse, psych social work, and transitional care staff. You will work with the Supervisor to conduct staff meetings, workshops, and various trainings to promote established policies and procedures and measure their effectiveness. As the Manager you will develop departmental policies, maintain the Behavioral Health Department staff, and meet with the staff regarding coaching and Human Resource initiatives as needed. The Manager will also utilize data to determine the effectiveness of the Behavioral Health Services program and maintain the Behavioral Universe data base and EPIC reports. This position will also oversee the presentation, interpretation, and management of the behavioral health data and attend related meetings held by the WakeMed team.

3 years of Behavioral Health experience required
Master’s Degree in Social Work required
Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist required
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, Day Shift, on call as needed
Weekend Requirements: As needed
