Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health/Social Services
Provide mental health assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, outreach and referrals for college students, faculty and staff at multiple SLCC campuses.
Assess clients through clinical interview and establish appropriate case formulation and treatment plan. Provide short-term psycho-social counseling to individuals, couples and groups which may include crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and evidence-based treatment. Maintain a confidential, safe, client-centered, quality experience for clientele. Develop and present psychoeducational outreach to the campus community. Maintain timely, accurate documentation of client contacts and outreach activities. Participate in departmental staff meetings. Collaborate with college departments and community service agencies to provide care, case management or referrals as appropriate. Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to ensure a smooth, efficient departmental operation. Participate in continuing education programs. Other job duties as assigned.
Minimum of a Master’s degree in a social work program or a Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling or a Master’s degree in counselor education and supervision or equivalent field from an accredited program or institution. Two years, paid, full-time experience providing psycho-social services. Current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Utah or current license as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of Utah. Preferred experience working with college age population and experience in Higher Education.
