Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Horizon Peer Care Management Initiative program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
Under supervision of the Program Administrator, the Program Coordinator supervises the day-to-day aspects of the Horizon Peer Care Management Initiative program.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Supervises the activities and staff of the Horizon Peer Care Management Initiative program serving those suffering from the disease of addiction.
Ensures the quality of the telephone-based counseling and crisis interventions are provided.
Ensures compliance with relevant funding agency and regulatory agency requirements.
Acts as the liaison to the funding agency as needed and/or required by this position.
Plans, trains and supervises the work of others engaged in professional and paraprofessional delivery of program specific services.
Recruits Telephone Helpline staff members who are consumer peers of the program.
Conducts meetings relevant to job responsibilities to ensure that facility needs are met.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Master's Degree in mental health discipline plus four (4) years post advanced degree experience as a provider in a substance use disorder and mental health treatment setting.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
An active New Jersey license as required by the Licensing Boards of New Jersey.
Managed care experience.
Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Psychologist.
One (1) year of prior supervisory experience preferred.
