In our office of Outreach Education and Counseling, we have a need for a full-time Outreach Counselor who makes a positive impact with our students every day. Located on our Rindge, NH campus, this position will report to the Director of Outreach Education and Counseling, as well as work closely other student support services.
Position Description: Responsible for implementing student development programs that will assist our students developing the life skills necessary to excel on campus. This position assists the department with a variety of outreach methods that are designed to assist with educating students.
Individual interactions, group sessions, workshops, and community educational activities, including presentations.
Develop programs to include such topics as communication and relational skills, alcohol and other drug preventions and leadership skills.
Work with Residential Life, Student Involvement and Campus Safety to provide for the mental health and emotional needs of the community.
Assist in managing crisis situations during academic semesters.
Participate in emergency on-call counselor duties.
A Master’s degree in counseling-related field.
Must be or eligible to be licensed in the State of New Hampshire.
Previous experience working with traditional college age students.
