Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Supported Housing Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator position is to provide day-to-day clinical and administrative supervision to program staff. Ensures high quality community-based services are provided to individuals served. Ensures compliance with all regulations and accreditation standards and provides direct care when indicated.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides administrative and clinical direction to the staff of the Adult Residential Program.
Provides 24-hour seven days/week on call for residential and supportive housing staff.
Demonstrates ability to plan, train and supervise the work of others engaged in delivery of rehabilitative, mental health and co-occurring services.
Provides leadership support to supportive housing staff.
Acts as the liaison with referral sources to include state Psychiatric Hospitals and maintains positive working relationships.
Collaborates with individuals in developing treatment/recovery plans that reflect person's treatment and life goals.
Assumes case management responsibilities for individuals served.
Regularly attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events that will enhance clinical skills and maintain best practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Master's Degree in appropriate mental health discipline plus four (4) years of relevant mental health experience.
License for independent clinical mental health practice (Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a licensed psychologist) as required by discipline and New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Appointee will be required to possess a valid driver's license as the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position and to travel to different sites.
Previous supervisory and residential/supportive housing experience is preferred.
An additional Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) license.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Must be able to travel to meetings and scattered program locations throughout the week.
24 hours /seven days a week on-call required.
Weekend availability required.
